  1. Driver Verifier with Raid Drives

Hello, I recently have been blue screening a lot and wanted to try using driver verifier to see if anything comes up. Well after restarting my pc, it sends me into a bootloop and after a few times it sends me to Windows troubleshooting my only options are Continue, Turn off pc, use a device, and troubleshoot so I knew something was wrong. I went into CMD and checked my drives by running diskpart then list volume and sadly no drives show up I have 2 nvme's as my C drive Raid 0. So I used drvload to load my raid drivers into it and now I can see my C drive... however I cannot disable verif

“Optimization not available” for Raid drive

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are unable to optimize the raid drive(s) on your computer.

I have been researching on this issue, and found that few users were able to resolve the issue by updating the storage drivers. You may also want to try updating the storage drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

Note: While performing these steps there might be a risk of data loss. You may take a backup of the data before performing the steps.

However, if the issue persists, we do have a dedicated forum for issues concerning to Raid drives, let me point you in the right direction where you would get the appropriate help for this issue. I would suggest you to post your query in

    TechNet
forums, where we have experts and support professionals with expertise on Raid to help you with the appropriate details.

    Regards,

How to image 2 hard drives with raid 1

    Hi there
Not sure if this is the best way but should work.

    1) backup data to individual external drives (or whatever -- cloud services etc). For basic data - use ROBOCOPY ,XCOPY, or simply Windows / File explorer.
    2) install new HDD's
    3) Create your RAID array's for the new drives.
    4) restore data saved via step 1).

If you have the Windows OS on a RAID device then that's beyond my knowledge - AFAIK Windows needs a hardware card with a driver to boot a RAID device. However the suggestion I've made will save / recover your DATA files.

    Cheers
    jimbo.

    Driver Verifier with Raid Drives

    Raid Drive on Windows 10

Original title: HardDrive Errors or software error or both???

    Asus Z97 Pro AC 3.1

    I7 4790K

    Asus Strix GTX 970

    16 GB Corsair Vengeance 2400

    Seagate Hybrid 1TB (main drive)

    Windows 10 64 Pro

I have an issue I can not seem to make ANY sense of. I have purchased a few months ago a WD BLUE 1 tb hard drive. Worked great (extra storage)..... Also have an old 500GB Samsung drive from an old laptop.

The WD stopped working the other day. Used WD software to scan, bad sectors. One thing that stood out was it was listed as a raid drive. Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver to the same result. Have tried wiping/recovering/scanning with multiple software's.
Get a CRC error in windows, won't initialize. Figured that drive was kapuut.

The older Samsung drive on the other hand worked great, then stopped around the same time (within a week...) Just now I was looking at it... ALSO INSTALLED AS A RAID DRIVE...

IT IS LISTED AS A 1TB DRIVE IN WINDOWS.... This is a 500gb drive. I have triple checked the wiring and verified the correct disk spots..... I am confused.... So freaking confused!!! I don't know if the drives are bad, if one drive is bad, or if it is software
    related.... (raid drivers)...

Two months back I experimented with combining the two extra drives into a 500gb raid0 strip. Have long uninstalled and reformatted both drives. They have both been working storage mediums up until recently. I have re-flashed the bios with the latest version,
set default settings in the bios ensuring the mobo raid controller was disabled.... I am out of ideas.....
