Windows 10: DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (jraid.sys)

Hi,

I have a PC with GIGABYTE X58-UD3R motherboard. It has a Intel chipset ICH10R, JMicrom JMB362 for e-SATA, a JMicrom JMB366 for front panel e-SATA and IDE disk and a Marvell SATA3 9128 (disabled)

I installed Windows 10 and i randomly get Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal(jraid.sys) error.

I dont have the Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology.

Looking at the minidump files show the driver that appears to be causing the crash is the jraid.sys:

BugCheck 133, {0, 501, 500, 0}

Probably caused by : jraid.sys ( jraid+2afb )

The jraid.sys is JMicron GBB36X driver so you could try updating to the the latest driver from JMicron from the following link (1.17.65):

UAC (User Account Control) will not turn on

The fail on second boot was related to bad drivers, I simply searched jraid.sys online and found it was "JMicron SATA controller driver".. So I upgraded it to a newer one and everything was fine. Initially I tried to delete jraid.sys but that didn't work.

 

Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.
I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.
