Windows 10: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_:OR_EQUAL APCI.sys BSOD when traying to Verify and Calibrate battery.

Hi.Some time ago I changed my old battery on my laptop because it was bubbled and easily discharging. A few weeks ago I noticed that the battery was not charging until it didn't have any charge. I tryied disconnecting the AC cable and the laptop ran for half an hour until it shut off. Someone told me that when changing batteries on a laptop you need to calibrate the new battery, something that I didn't do. Now when I disconnect the AC cable and connect it back, instead of telling me there's no battery installed, it tell me the ins connected and with a 225% of charge, which is very strange. But

Calibrating HP laptop battery - nothing happens

This pertains to an HP Probook 450 G5, purchased new in July 2018.

Below is a current status report from the HP Power Manager:





That echoes what the HP Support assistant notes, that the battery needs calibration.

However, when I run the battery check from the support assistant I get this:





And when I run the battery check linked to from the above, I just get something saying it was unable to calibrate the battery. And when I google this, I find sites that seem more like they're trying to sell me a new battery, than advise what to do.

I keep the computer plugged in all the time, and have battery management set to maximize the battery health (which for my computer means having it charged to 80%). When I do run it on battery, I get maybe three hours from it; I know there was a time it was 5-6 hours, maybe more.

Anything I should be doing? How important is battery calibration? What am I supposed to do when I can't calibrate using the steps below?

As for your concern, what battery calibration are you referring to?

It is normal for a battery to lose its original design capacity as time goes by with the charge and discharge cycle. Using any kind of software to do a battery calibration will not help you regain the lost battery capacity. However, you can run the built-in
power troubleshooter. To do this, follow the steps below:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting.
  
• Click View all.
  
• Select Power and run the troubleshooter.
