    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD caused by NETIO.sys


    Over the past half-year I've been here my users have been having recurring issues with BSODs caused by NETIO.SYS, either the crashing stopped and we forgot about it or we just reinstalled windows, but now we have a user who has had 2 blue screens just this morning on a recently purchased and freshly installed device and I'd like to find the cause.My two primary suspicions are either Forticlient VPN, or our AV - ESET PROTECT as our two pieces of software that we use that likely have large interactions with network drivers..I have the minidumps available in a zip file but I'm not seeing a way to

    Hi Seung,

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused by BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys).

    Please let us know the make/model of your computer.

    The L1C63x64.sys is the Atheros LAN driver and I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the Atheros LAN driver but install the latest Atheros LAN driver by visiting the manufacture's website and avoid using any LAN driver available though Windows Update.

    However the problem could also be with any VPN software and other software so make sure you have the latest version of each of these software.

    If the errors continue uninstall the VPN software and check if the issue persist.

    Hello,

    My girlfriend brought a BSOD to my attention while she was on my computer today. She was watching YouTube videos and playing some games on Facebook Apps when she got the BSOD. The information she gave me was directly from the screenshot of the error information
    which is stated below.

    driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

    ERROR: e2xw10x64.sys

    Any idea of what caused this?
