    driver_verifier_iomanager_violation BSOD loop on startup

I've been having nothing but problems with Windows 10 since I upgraded from windows 7. All the parts I've had worked on 7 just fine. I upgraded to 10 and I've been getting BSOD randomly and especially on the startups. I even would get BSOD just from the upgrade to 10. I had to turn off turbo core and cool and quiet so it would get through the installation. I noticed one of my HDD broke in the process. Didn't work on any computer I tested it on. Might be a coincidence as it's 5 years old. A few days after I finally got 10 to work. I put my computer in a new case with a new PSU. It would work fine for a week or two and then it would BSOD randomly. I had an issue with Google Chrome in that it would slowly lock my computer up everytime I opened it. I initially thought my SSD was going bad but it's only 2 years old. I stopped using Chrome and the problem stopped for awhile. Every once and awhile I would get a BSOD randomly or on a startup but it would always fix itself. Now I'm getting a new error that is the worst yet.

I use my computer for animations, rendering, gaming, browsing so it gets worked quite often but it doesn't crash during intense use. Now I'm completely stuck. I am getting this "driver verifier iomanager violation wdf01000.sys" BSOD everytime I boot up the computer. I don't remember installing anything new the last time I used it.

When I get in to safe mode, a BSOD System_exception_error will pop up in 5 minutes or so. Sometimes it will be a kmode error. I noticed sometimes I would get it just starting up in safe mode. I barely managed to get the dump file off of there.

I've attached text from the dump file below

  2. How to Replace the Corrupted ntoskrnl.exe File with a New One

I don't over-clock anything. I will have to try to run the Driver Verifier tomorrow, but I'm not sure if it could give anything, since I had already tried enabling it in Safe Mode and then rebooting normal, but each time I did so, I was shown either the
DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION BSOD (with the I/O test on), or the DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION BSOD (without the I/O test).

And could you possibly name those 5 causes for me please? I though BlueScreenView indicated all causative files there are

    Blue Screen & Error message

Ok firstly I ran the driver verifier on Friday this cause an endless boot loop not allowing me to access windows, it was constantly blue screening with the error: DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION.

This ended up with me having to re-install windows yesterday, after all of this I do not trust this application. Plus I do not feel like having to re-install all of my applications and windows again.

I will try the memtest and get back to you with the results.

And at this time I think that on startup the BIOS posted that the overclock failed. I will flush the BIOS and/or get rid of the settings and restore them to default.

Thank you for your response. I posted the info in the attachment. I looked at the driver log myself and it looks like vmulti.sys is my drawing tablet driver.

EDIT: I uninstalled the tablet driver. It now gets past the Windows logo part but immediately BSOD before I can login with DRIVER_PORTION_MUST_BE_NONPAGED

EDIT 2: I did a sfc /scannow command and I'm not getting that error anymore BUT I'm still getting a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD as soon as I get in to Windows. Does this in safe mode sometimes too. This is the error I've been getting randomly from time to time the past few weeks.

[/quote] Not that I know of. That's strange if it's saying that...

I recently just got back in to Windows and it's been working for 7 hours nonstop. Worried the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD will come back as it's been random for weeks.

Please check Windows Updates and Activation - Windows 10 Forums where others can help finding out if there is any problem with your activation.

    Please disable driver verifier
    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Enter "verifier/reset" (without quotes)

Updating the driver might resolve the crashes,

I'll look in to it on that forum.

The Huion website said the tablets were Windows 10 ready when I installed them. Hesitant to download again right now as things seem stable.

I updated the realtek one but I'm not sure how to update the other 2 drivers. Not sure what program is using pxhlpa64.sys

I don't know about the last one either, the files aren't 100% about the installed programs and no program mentioned at Carrona.org was installed according to the files.

The tap0901t is a network driver, usually part from VPN software or in this case also Google Earth.

Strange. Well I clicked to update the network adapter that was Tunngle and it said it was up to date already. Disabled the adapter for now as I don't use it.

Would it be advisable to remove pxHlpa64.sys? How would I go about doing so?

I also noticed I have 4 "Unknown Devices" under "Other Devices"

Don't update through device manager unless asked for, device manager rarely does say there are updates available.

No, it is currently not known what program uses that driver. It could make the stability of your system worse then currently.

Alright, my computer has been stable for a few days now. I'm hoping the problem is fixed. There's still apparently some outdated drivers on my computer but I couldn't find any updated ones yet. I'll report back if anything acts up again.

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD is back...thought it was too good to be true. It locked up while opening Premiere this time although it's usually random. Played a game on it and used premiere before with no issues the past 2 days. I saw no dump files for this error in minidump while in safe mode. Safe mode even locked up after 5 minutes. And now I can't even boot in to safe mode period. So basically I can't get in at all. In the past when it did this I'd turn it off and wait awhile and then it would magically work again. But I want to get rid of this error once and for all. It's infuriating when I need to get projects done.

Starting to think it's hardware. Something could have happened during the transfer to the new case. Mobo might not be seated correctly. I don't know. At the same time, the thing blue screened just from the installation process to Windows 10 while it was still in my old case. And was consistent about it until I changed turbo core and cool and quiet off. Hard to tell if it's a driver when it doesn't give me a dump file.
