  1. Drives are bitlocked which is stopping me reinstalling Windows 10

I am running Windows 10 Home on a 1-year old Dell Inspiron which has 2 hard drives and yesterday my son was playing Minecraft when the screen suddenly went blue and asked for my recovery key. I have been able to enter the recover keys for both drives and get to the troubleshooting section but none of the repair options work and I am unable to restore the computer says there are no restore points nor restart it just goes back to the blue screen with troubleshooting options. I am hoping it isn't malware but I unable to do a scan as I can't get to safe mode. I can get to the OS recovery screen and it says my hard drive is fine but there are issues with the partition table, boot files and windows health.

Thanks to Greg Carmack's excellent thread and others I was able to download Windows 10 to an external USB from another computer and tried to install it on my desktop but hit a wall when I was trying to highlight the drives to install it on as they are both bitlocked. I feel like I can't win, as if I boot up normally I can unlock both discs but by then it is too late to boot from the USB, but if I boot from the USB I can't get to the screen that lets me unlock the discs it suggests I go to the Control Panel, which I can't access. It was also giving me an error message from one of the discs that it is the wrong type for the install.

Incidentally, I never set up Bitlocker and don't know why it suddenly appeared. Also, I'm not particularly computer-savvy so won't be able to do anything complicated. Thanks for any help

    :)

Drives are bitlocked which is stopping me reinstalling Windows 10

Windows 8.1 PRO unable to unlock Bitlocked drive

Can you take a screen shot of the bitlocker window?

Also, what happens when you highlight the drive in This PC and go to the Manage tab? There should be some bitlocker options there.
