Windows 10: DRM-protected video playback is extremely slow

When I try to play video that's DRM-protected, one of my 3 monitors goes dark, the refresh rate drops to <5fps, and my mouse becomes near-impossibly slow to control. This happens with the Crunchyroll web player on Firefox/Edge and when I play podcasts on the Spotify desktop app. I JUST updated from Windows 10 to 11 and continue to experience this issue. Since I just updated, I have the most up-to-date video drivers.GPU: Nvidia 2080 SUPERCPU: Ryzen 7 3700XMOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk II

Very slow video playback

This week my Lumia 920 began to play videos at extremely slow motion. Does not matter if the video is streaming like YouTube or stored on the phone. I reset the phone as suggested 3 days ago which temporarily fixed it. Now its back to very slowly played
video.

What's the problem?

Any audio/video that has had the DRM removed from it will play back without issue. The Realtek driver for the audio on your motherboard supports playback of tracks with and without DRM at their top resolution. I have no issues with playback on my Realtek 892 on my Asrock motherboard. The DRM feature is just there to make sure that you can real the full res audio on discs that still have the DRM on them. Without that DRM support, you would be limited to 16/48 playback of audio on discs with DRM. Naturually, you must also posses playback software that supports 24/192 playback.
