  1. Drop in audio quality along with not being able to finds the Microsft UAA BUS or Realtek Audio

My Laptop Asus TUF GAMING A15DDR5 4800mhz 32gn, AMD Ryzen 4700x, GTX 3060, 1tb SSDHas been having audio issues, there was a distinct drop in quality after two updates, causing the audio to sound like its coming through a pane of plexi-glass and a poor quality reverb membrane. Windows is also as mentioned Missing the Microsoft UAA Bus, along with Realtek Audio.I have tried reinstalling Realtek, that has not worked, neither the UAA bus or Realtek show up in the Device Manager program, I have done a full re-install of windows, a repair-restore, and from booted in safe mode. I'm unsure wher

  2. microsoft uaa bus driver for high definition audio is missing from device manager

I'm running Windows 10 on a PC with an Intel i5-8400 & an ASUS Z370 mobo. The sound quality was rather flat, so I proceeded to tweak it with the equalizer setting, whereupon I noticed that the Realtek HD audio drivers were actually missing. I installed
these but afterwards, the associated icons did not appear anywhere on the taskbar. I couldn't open RtkNGUI64.exe manually either. So I tried to follow the suggested steps on fixing this issue, but when I opened the device manager, I couldn't find Microsoft
UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio
under system devices or anywhere else.

It doesn't seem to be available at Asus, so where do I download this?

    Thanks in advance.

Realtek Audio Drivers messed up - Microsoft UAA?

I would try this first: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SO...AA-Bus-Driver-for-High-Definition-Audio.shtml but uninstall your audio driver first, reboot, then install this M$ UAA driver. That is very strange that the realtek drivers didn't install this if its a HD audio chipset, I 've done it so many times at work it is basically routine. If that doesn't help there could be a driver conflict from the previous audio driver still trying to find its chipset which in turn is causing problems with the realtek not working.

Drop in audio quality along with not being able to finds the Microsft UAA BUS or Realtek Audio

Realtek audio installer doesn't install anything.

    Hi John,

    Welcome to our community.

This is Leocadia, independent community expert, and I am glad to assist you today.

Sorry to hear about this inconvenience. Now, we would like to help you promptly.

Now could you please peform these steps below?

First, go to Device Manager and see if there is the “Sound, video and game controllers” branch. If you don’t see it in Device Manager, you need to add legacy hardware before installing the driver (If you see it listed in Device Manger, skip this Solution).

Follow steps below to add legacy hardware.

In Device Manager, click Action > Add legacy hardware. (If you only see ‘Help’ under this option, please click the blank place of the list pane then click ‘Action’ again. )

Follow the on-screen instructions to add the “Sound, video and game controllers” branch and “Realtek High Definition audio device”.

Install the driver again. You can use Driver Easy to help install the driver automatically with just two clicks.

If it does not work, you can try these alternatives below:

    1. Realtek has a known conflict with the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. Follow steps below to fix the conflict.

Go to Device Manager. Expand the System Devices branch and find Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.

Right click on the device and click Disable.

Go to Programs and Features and locate the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver entry. Uninstall the driver. (Do not reboot the system.)

Go back to Device Manager and uninstall the disabled Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. (Do not reboot the system.)

Reinstall the Realtek HD Audio Driver (If “Found New Hardware Wizard” pops up, ignore it.).

After installation is complete, reboot the system.

    2. Remove the drivers, and let Windows install its own

Hold the Windows Key and Press R. Type devmgmt.msc and Click OK.

Locate the Realtek Audio Driver within Sound, video and game controllers. Right-click it and select Uninstall from the menu. Follow the instructions to uninstall the driver.

Reboot your system and open Device Manager

From the top toolbar, click Action and choose Scan for hardware changes from the menu.

Once that is done, Realtek will appear in the list of devices again, so you can update its drivers.

    3. Disable Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio

Since Realtek is the only audio driver that comes with the UAA driver installation inside, unlike the drivers from Conexant od SoundMAX, you can disable the UAA bus, and reinstall the driver. Given that the conflict lies in the UAA driver, removing it will
let Realtek install itself properly, along with the UAA bus as well.

Press simultaneously the Windows and R keys to open the Run Type devmgmt.msc and click OK to open the Device Manager.

Expand the System Devices option, and look for the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. Right-click it and select Disable from the menu.

When you’ve disabled this driver, you can go ahead and install the Realtek drivers again, and they should be working perfectly now. If you do not have the driver files, then visit the Manufacturer’s site to get the latest drivers.
