Windows 10: Drop in streaming quality when in full screen

I often stream sports games from ESPN+, have a fast Internet connection. Lately I got a new Thinkpad X1 Nano and I have been experiencing an unusual problem. Streaming quality is excellent as long as do not watch it in full screen it remains excellent when I make the screen as large as possible, without moving to full screen; but if I switch to full screen, the quality drops. The video loses contrast and the colors look washed out; I also have the impression that the brightness drops a little. It never happened to me with my previous laptop, a Thinkpad x1 Yoga 2nd generation. I tried a comparison with an old laptop, a Thinkpad x1 4th generation, and the difference remains obvious. I have turned off adaptive brightness, with no result. I use Chrome, but the effect is the same with Edge.

Installed RAM 16.0 GB 15.7 GB usable
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

XBox Streaming quality


Is anyone seeing a drop in quality when streaming Xbox games to windows 10? Even on high quality I get a fuzzy look. Its not horrible but I was hoping it would be a bit better. I'm using a 650ti on my test machine so I wonder if my gaming rig will look better and if I should swap some components to test. I cant find if hardware makes a difference or if its limited to the windows software. I'm hard wired btw.

 

Changing Streaming Video Quality C3-01

Hey Guys, I need help !

How do I change the quality of video that is streamed, like streaming youtube videos to a 480p or atleast 360p !

Using HIGH SPEED WiFi and using it upto its full extend i.e. upto 10 mbps, we can surely and easily stream even HD video, but as This Device supports only upto 480p I just want the Streamed Videos to be of much better QUALITY.

The Quality of Streaming video/audio is Aweful, not even a 240p and fully Pixelated video.

Please Help me out !

Suggest me any Apps too if out there !

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
