Windows 10: DS4 Controller won't Pair to PC

I am using a MacBook Pro with Intel i7 and 64-bit Windows 10 via BootCamp.


I am trying to connect my DualShock4 PlayStation controller via Bluetooth, but it just will not connect, not even to pair, on Windows.

It connected fine when booted in MacOS and works ok, but when I boot in Windows I can only get as far as searching for a new device, it recognises it a wireless gamepad, but when I click to pair it gets stuck on connecting before telling me it can't connect and to try again.


I've installed all the latest updates via Apple Software Update, Windows Update and checking the driver updates in Device Manager, and I can connect other Bluetooth devices without problem such as a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard.


All the fixes I've come across online have not worked or not applicable as they deal with connection issues after pairing ie the controller appears in Hardware and Devices section of Control Panel, but I can't even manage to get that.


Any advice on how to fix would be grand.

Cannot pair DS4 with a Konig Bluetooth Dongle

I am trying to connect my DS4 to a Windows 10 PC. My PC doesn't have a Bluetooth chip, so I bought a dongle 2 years ago. I have two DS4 controllers and I can't find a way to pair them - when I press pair it always leads me to an error. Sometimes the controller(s) don't even show up in the available devices list, which is odd because they've shown up on the list before.

To help us identify the cause of the issue and then find the proper resolution for it, please provide the following information:

• What is the exact version of your computer? To do it, go to Start menu
  and go to Settings > System >
  About, then check the Version.
• Have you tried connecting other Bluetooth device to your computer?
  
• Have you tried connecting your DS4 Controller to other computer?

For the meantime, we recommend doing methods below:

Method 1: Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.Running the Bluetooth troubleshooter to automatically fix any issues with Bluetooth.

• Open Control Panel.
• Select View by: Large icons.
• Open Troubleshooting.
• Under Hardware and Sound, run the Bluetooth
  troubleshooter.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2: Remove your device and pair it again.

If your Bluetooth device isn’t working, you can try removing the device and pairing it again. In Bluetooth settings, select the Bluetooth device that’s paired but not working >
Remove device > Yes to verify. After that, pair the device again. For more info about pairing devices, see

tried to pair Ds4 controller, A popup shows up, clicking allow just hangs & do nothing.

It supposed to show pair pin/password/code to type but nothing happens.

This worked in previous version of windows 10 1709 & others.

Any solution?
