I have enabled Defender and even MalwareBytes but there is a weird exe called "DSLaunchBrowser.exe" that keeps appearing, when I go to "File Location", the location is empty "ProgramData/DSLauncherBrowser" then when I go back to "ProgramData", there's not even a "DSLauncherBrowser" folder that exists. I also notice when I play games, this causes sudden lag to my gameplay, but when I quit the task through task manager the lag goes away, but about a minute later the tasks will just reappear. Would anybody be able to help me?

    :)

  3. Windows 10 keeps closing files - doesn't reopen

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things:

    • Is this issue confined with particular folder or all?
    • Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to check in Clean Boot state as below and check whether the issue persists or not.

Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Follow the article How to perform a clean boot in Windows in the below link and check if it helps:

How to perform a clean boot in Windows (Applies to Windows 10 as well).

NOTE: Once you perform clean boot do refer to the section “How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting” to boot the computer in normal mode.

Method 2: I suggest you to follow the below steps to end windows explorer task and start it in task manager and check if it helps.

    • Right click on the “Taskbar” and click on “task manager”.
    • Under the “processes” tab locate for “Windows explorer”.
    • Right click on it and click on “End task”.
    • Then go to “File” option and click on “Run new task”.
    • Enter as “explorer.exe” and click on “ok”.

Hope this information is helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.
