Windows 10: DST - Testing scenarios

As developer, I am sometimes in the situation that I need DST "now" to test the behavior of a system/software ...


Pre-requisites:

• stopp Windows Time Service habe + disabled it that it is not started by domain
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters]
  "Type"="NoSync"off "Type"="NTP" on
• set date+time a few minutes before DST occurs more or less, depends what you have to prepare

e.g. set date + time: 31st, October 2021 02:59:30 then wait .... 02:59:58, 02:59:59, 02:00:00 time zone Vienna UTC+1


That worked so far.


But I am interested how/where Windows "remembers" that the time-shift already occurred or not. There must be something, since otherwise we will always end at 02:00:00 .... since often need to "developer tests" several times, not just once ...

DST Outlook 2007 and Windows Mobile

Well, my DST updater got me with the right time when I got up this morning. BUT now all the appointments in my Outlook 2007 are one hour later than when they actually are. For instance, 4pm appointments are listed at 5pm. Then 7am appointments are now
listed at 8am. It is the same on my mobile device (samsung saga). So the only way to fix this on my computer is to turn off the auto update on my computer for time and then manually turn off DST.

Please help.

 

RPi2 from Windows cross compilation Error "The test for linking against libxcb failed!"

Error in Cross Compilation, I am using Qt5.0, Windows10, Raspberry Pi 2.
I was following this tutorial and the process failed at step 16 and tried with its suggestion but cannot find a solution.

Error prompted after step 16 is:

Running configuration tests...
The test for linking against libxcb failed!
Use of pkg-config is not enabled, maybe you want to pass -force-pkg-config?
You might need to install dependency packages for libxcb.
See src/plugins/platforms/xcb/README.

and when I printed log in file as tutorial suggested, there are some errors mentioned like:

• cc1plus.exe: error: unrecognized command line option '-fuse-ld=gold'
  
• error "Symbolic function binding on this architecture may be broken, disabling it (see QTBUG-36129)."
  
• etc.
  

I tried but still find no solution.
