Windows 10: dual boot? w7 and w 10

hi, is it possible to dual boot w7 and w 10?. I'm currently running w7 and i got offer for w10 already, my question is it possible to dual boot it and i want genuine w10 as well. i tried use media creation control and windows update but both failed at step 3 (75% overall) and now i'm downloading ISO file to DVD. my HDD is 1T

Can I install Win 10 and keep Win 7 SP1 on a separate drive or disk partition? I am afraid that various apps may not work on W 10? I already suffered this on upgrades from XP to W7 etc.

To get the free upgrade to Windows 10, you are agreeing to no longer have your Windows 7 key that you upgraded from activated for Windows 7 while you have the free Windows 10 installed and activated.

Basically either or, but not both installed and activated as the same time.

If you want both, then you need to either use a different Windows 7 key, or purchase Windows 10 to get a Windows 10 key to activate with instead.
