Ok. Have always run at least dual monitors on all my systems. Had no problem with the Dell Monitor(VGA) I gave my buddy for his lappie.

I have the HDMI port, and wanted to use a 19" TV to play WoW on of course...lol

Hooks up fine, have no trouble spanning the desktop etc. The problem lies in that task bar, and top of the screen are beyond view able range. Tried different modes on the TV, different screen resolutions, etc. Nothing works.

Now here's the rub. If I use the STD HDMI TV I have it works perfect. Looks like my main screen. Have it spanned of course. Moving apps is fine.

    WHY
would the screen on the 19" do that if everything else I throw on there is perfect?

    :)

Hm. You'd probably want to go the Settings application, go to System then to Display. Check each monitor there. The screensaver should be showing up on the one marked '1'. Are both monitors set to 100%? You can check that by clicking each one in turn.

Screensavers in general are a really old technology: it's possible this one doesn't support some new hotness your system is trying to do. Generally the Lock Screen Slideshow as found in the Settings application under Personalization :: Lock Screen is much
more functional and should be less prone to strange errors such as this.

    Hi Dakota,

Check if the monitor is set to Extend or Duplicate. Press Windows key + P and select
Extend. This should expand the desktop so you can make room for extra windows.

If the issue still persist, try updating the drivers and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows + X, click on
      Device Manager.
    • Expand Display adapter from the list.
    • Right click on device and click on
      Update driver Software.

Hope this helps. Keep us updated with the status of the issue to continue assisting you further.

    Thank you.

  8. Dual Monitor issue

Ok, want to hear the latest?

Have a HP Pavilion 17" with the A8/8550G so it IS Windows 10 compatible. Saw the drivers were out, and grabbed them. First off I installed the product thinking it would be fine because I've never had a problem with the boxes I've built. My mistake. It loaded drivers for my AMD High Definition Audio Device, caused a bang and killed it. Deleted and reinstalled AFTER deleting the drivers. Updated the driver from the Device Manager. All fine. reload the supposed driver package. Added something for my WoW, and that was it.

Here's the rub. It did SOMETHING to my HDMI port. I have two TV's I can use, One's a small 17" that works perfect. I also have a 19" Dynex TV, that NOW will not be recognized. Will only show it as the 17"in the picture above. WTF happened here. Anyone know?
