Windows 10: Dual Monitors not showing 2 different documents

I have dual monitors Lifelong G70 and a Dell laptop. I can't open 2 different documents and display the different documents on the 2 screens. If I open a document on one screen, the other screen goes to the home screen. If I switch and open a document on the other screen, the alternate one goes to the home screen. The weird thing is that I can open a document on one and show the internet on the other and browse the web. What I can't do is open 2 different documents on alternate screens. I checked for drivers and it shows I have the most up to date drivers. I tried restarting the computer but

• How have you setup dual monitors?
• Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?

If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

Dual slide show on Dual monitors at different resolutions

I have Windows 11 running on a dual monitor setup, but each monitor is a different size and native resolution. ie 3440 x 1440 21:9 ultra wide and a 4k 3840 x 3160 16:9.

I want to run two different wallpaper slide shows from different directories. I would have thought something simple like this would be possible with Windows 11. Does anyone know of third-party software that can do this?
