Windows 10: Dual monitors setup - items on second monitor move to first monitor when they turn off

Hello,I have a dual monitor setup 2k 144hz and the following problem:Windows 10 Pro is set to turn them off after 10 mins of inactivity; whenever it does this, whatever I had on the second monitor browser windows, apps etc. gets moved to the first screen, so when I come back from inactivity, everything is a mess and I have to rearrange them. This is very frustrating.The monitors are connected as follows:Monitor 1 through DP;Monitor 2 through HDMI.Before I had these monitors, I had a dual setup with 2 1080p monitors connected through DVI both, and this problem did not occur. After connecting the monitor, you press Windows key + P then click Extend.

 

Dual Monitor Setup Issues

I have a dual monitor setup that works fine once I go to Intel Graphics Settings > Display > Multiple Display > Detect. But every time I restart my PC I have to do those steps again to get it to work. How can I have my second monitor recognized by default

• How have you setup dual monitors?
• Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?

If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.
