Windows 10: dual monitors

for a couple of years I have run a dual monitor set up in windows 10 on my dell inspiron. after a visiting relative plugged in her lap top to do some work at my house the next time I booted up the 2cnd monitor is not recognized. I have uninstalled the graphics card and reinstalled. checked all connections. even physically removed and reinstalled the card and the ribbon cables. all to no avail.

still only recognizing one monitor? the non working monitor has the power saver light on and when the plus or minus button is pushed displays in power saver mode press computer button or any key message. anyone have any ideas?

Dual monitor, Dual mouse??

• How have you setup dual monitors?
• Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?

If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.
