Windows 10: Dual Screen Issues

I'm running Windows 10 on my old Dell Inspiron laptop. I have an Asus monitor hooked up to it via HDMI and changed the settings so I can dual screen side by side.

Lateley, when I open up my laptop, the display on the Asus is just fine, but the background and all my shortcuts on the laptop are just a black screen. The only thing displayed on the laptop is the taskbar. Nothing on the laptop monitor seems to work outside of the taskbar, I tried right clicking to go into display settings but I can only do that from the Asus monitor.

Sometimes the problem fixes itself randomly, but it's very frustrating when it doesn't. Anyone have ideas as to what the fix might be?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Issue with black screen, dual display, ATI Integrated GPU

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to go to device manager and disable the display drivers, check whether the issue persists or not.

• Press Windows + X keys and click
  Device manager.
• Click to expand Display adapters, right click the second adapter and click
  Disable.
• Restart the computer and check whether the issue persists or not.
• Repeat the same steps to disable the first display adapter and check if it helps.

If you find the issue is with anyone of the display adapters then, I suggest you to update the display drivers from the manufactures website for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps form the below article for
“Black Screen” issues and check if it helps.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
