Hi,I am running Windows 10:Edition Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 Installed on ‎28-‎Feb-‎21 OS build 19043.1526 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0 I am using different video cables, because my video card has different outputs VGA, HDMI and DVI. Why doesn't Windows 10 provide the same resolution as the Linux desktop. Thank you.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 2560x1440 resolution

I have recently upgraded to the final version of windows 10 pro, 64bit machine. (Build 10240). After upgrading, I can no longer select 2560x1440 resolution for my philips 272C4 27 inch display. In my previous version (windows 7) this worked perfectly. The
display supports and recommends the 2560x1440 resolution when I check in the display menu. I have a radeon 6800 graphics card with the latest drivers version 15.20.1062.1002-150715a-187327C.

Any suggestions? How do I "convince" windows 10 that my display supports this resolution?

  3. Unable to set screen resolution to 2560x1440

Thank you. I converted again from Win 7 to Win 10 (a later version than above) no problem with latest version

of Win 10. Resolution set itself automatically to the correct resolution same as I was using on Wind 7 (2560X1440)

Thanks for resolving. Love the Win 10 ... working super.

    Windows 10 2560x1440 resolution

I solved it by switching from HDMI to DVI cable between my computer and my screen. This is wierd since it worked with HDMI cable and 2560x1440 resolution in windows 7... Anyway maybe this can help other people with this issue.
