Windows 10: Dualshock 3 suddenly stopped registering inputs

I've been using the Dualshock 3 controller connected via USB with the drivers Sony finally released for it but during a game the controller became disconnected and now it's not working.

Windows still recognises the controller - it shows up in devices and printers when it's plugged in however under the test tab no matter what buttons are pressed it doesn't register an input. The same thing happens with Steam / any game or program, it recognises a PS3 controller is plugged in but will not receive any inputs.

I've plugged, unplugged, removed the controller from the device manager and the driver for it, rebooted and plugged it back in and it recognises the controller plugged in and reinstall the drivers, I've reinstalled the Playstation Now program which was what originally installed the drivers.

It's not a hardware fault because I've tested multiple controllers and they all do the same thing and if I plug them into my Linux machine they work as normal.

Wat do?

As the above description is not clear, do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the exactly issue you are facing with audio and how exactly are you trying to access it?
• What exactly do you mean by: Have windows 10, and suddenly my audio stopped?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system, prior to this issue?

I suggest you to install all the pending updates and audio drivers and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to update the audio drivers from Device Manager and check.

Steps:

• 
  Right click on the Start
  button from the desktop and select Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on
  High Definition Audio Device and click on Update driver software.
  
• 
  Also, try to search for the drivers with the help of model number of your computer from the Manufacturer’s website and install them.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
