Windows 10: Dude, Where's Your Homegroup (Missing after updates)

So my main PC is Windows 10 Home V1803, Build 17134.1 and the other (which is usually the same but hasn't caught up yet to the Insider Build) is currently at Windows 10 Home V1803, Build 17133.73.

The two of them used to be networked without issue via Homegroup until my main PC updated last week. At that time, on the Main PC File Explorer in the Navigation Pane under NETWORK where Homegroup used to be, was just blank space (no more Homegroup). Tried several things to find it and finally got irritated and gave up.

During that time, the Media PC had NOT yet updated and Homegroup was still an option in File Explorer though the Main PC no longer showed as available.

Today the Media PC updated and now it no longer has a HOMEGROUP option either.

I am unable to circumvent the problem via legacy networking techniques so far, including the failed attempts to map network drives between the two. I've even gone into properties on a few folders and essentially removed all security making EVERYONE get full control. In Network & Sharing I've removed as much security as I can from all three types of network manifestations as well as allowing all unrestricted access to media streaming on any network.

And still...I gots nuttin but this headache and an empty vodka bottle.

Windows 10 homegroup files that were stored on the upgraded computer are missing

After updating to Windows 10, windows homegroup files that were stored on the upgraded computer are missing. There isn't a home group showing up at all on the upgraded computer. However, the other computers still show the homegroup, but all the files are
missing. Help. The files missing are 10 years of family pics.

 

Cannot leave homegroup Windows 10

This seems to be fixed in some point... after the some of the latest updates I had situation where all the homegroups other computers where turned off and I could connect to new homegroup. After that the old group hasn't shown up.
