Windows 10: Due to microsoft family settings i have not been able to access certain apps even though...

every time i try to open the application it throws me this error. Even though iclick on ask by email it does not send a request. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the applications for which these errors occur but still shows the same. Time has been given to such applications to be used but still havent been able to use it.

Family Settings - Unable to download apps & Games

My Family account has already been set up (www.windowsphone.com/family) and he is listed as a Family Member and I have allowed that he can access 'free & paid apps'.

My Son is still unable to download apps.

The wiki is not useful as all the steps were completed prior to me posting the question.

New Microsoft Family Safety Preview app for Android and iOS

Hi Office Insiders, I am Aimee Sudeck, Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft 365. We’re excited to invite you to join a preview for Microsoft Family Safety, a new app designed to help protect your family with digital and physical safety.

This new app empowers families to start conversations and promote healthier habits. It brings together cross-platform digital safety, such as screen time and content filters, with location sharing to help keep loved ones safe.

Content filters: Create a safe space for your kids to explore online. Set healthy boundaries with web and search filters to block mature content and set browsing to kid-friendly websites on Microsoft Edge.

Screen time limits: Set screen time limits that work across devices. If you know your kids will be on devices longer for online learning, you can set limits on specific apps or games instead.

How to sign up for the limited preview

We’re starting with a limited preview of the app on iOS and Android to gather feedback before launching later this year. We’re looking for families with children of all ages to join the preview. Follow the steps below to get an invitation:

1. Set up a family group here.

Select Create a family group.

Follow the prompts to add family members and invite them to join the group.

2. Fill out the preview submission form (only one form required per family).

Acknowledge that you have created a family group.

Provide family and device information to be uploaded to preview.

Prerequisite

Please make sure to provide the email addresses of each of your family members and use the same email you used to set up their accounts. This allows us to reserve spots for you and all members of your family. You won’t be able to add or update email addresses in the form later.

Preview restrictions

Limited preview; available to 10,000 users on iOS and 10,000 users on Android.

Available globally except for China, Japan, countries and regions with right to left written languages, and U.S. embargoed countries and territories.

When selected, we’ll send each member of your family an email invite with instructions to download the preview in the coming weeks. Invitations will be sent on a rolling basis, so keep an eye on your inbox.

We ask that users participating in the preview actively provide feedback to help us learn from your experience. Send feedback in the app by shaking your device or tapping on Menu > Help & Feedback.

There’s a lot happening over the next few months. We’ll update this page regularly to give you the latest on Microsoft family.

Updates

Recent activity you can act on

On the redesigned recent activity page, you can see how your kids are spending their time on each PC, from the apps and games they’re using to the websites they’re visiting. And while you’re looking at their recent activity, you can decide whether or not something is right for them, and block or allow it right there.

Simpler settings
We’ve heard your feedback that some of the settings are too confusing and hard to use. So, we’ve made some changes to make it easier -

For web filtering, we reduced the options down to a few crucial ways to keep your kids safe when they're online. We now automatically block adult content in their web browsers, and if your kids are very young, you can allow them to access only specific web sites that you want them to see.

For apps & games, we've simplified how restrictions are set. You can choose an age setting for them, and based on that, they'll be able to only download apps and games that have been rated appropriate for their age.

For screen timers, we've taken the complex graphs and settings and simplified them down, while giving you the flexibility to easily control when your kids can use the PC.

We believe all these changes will make it easier for you to manage your kids settings on their Windows devices.

A new home for family
Family Safety is now part of account.microsoft.com, which is the single place to manage everything connected to your account. To manage your family and kids’ settings, go to account.microsoft.com/family. Right now some of the settings pages still live on the old site—some things will look the same, and some will look different—but over the next few months, everything will be updated and moved to account.microsoft.com/family.

Changes to linked accounts
If you’ve linked your kids’ Family Safety accounts, you’ll see that each of them are listed individually and that you now have to manage their settings separately for each device. We know this may be painful for some of you, but we’re doing this to make way for a simpler, better experience: roaming your child’s settings with their Microsoft account. We appreciate your patience as we make these changes. A few other notes:

If devices show up on your list that you no longer use, you can select “Remove” to get rid of them.

You’ll get a separate activity report email for each device.

Kids’ settings go with them
On Windows 10, you’ll need a Microsoft account in order to use Microsoft family whether you’re a part of a family as an adult or a child. When kids are added to a Microsoft family with a Microsoft account, any time they sign in to a Windows 10 device, their settings will be applied and their activity will be reported to the adults in their family. Adults can always turn off activity reporting or remove kids from the Microsoft family at account.microsoft.com/family.
