Due to system format my D & E drive are bitlocker encrypted but i am unable to login and recover 48 digit key to decrypt. pls help its very urgentI tried to recover password with below detailsusername: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***: 8368242565My laptop device name: LPT34, I created new user *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and able to access recovery key but same key not working to drive unlock.

Data Recovery in Bitlocker Encrypted Drive

Today my home laptop system asked for bit locker password after booting up (before login). Bit locker encryption was not enabled by me. However, to make the computer usable, C drive was formatted since there was no critical data in C Drive. However D Drive is still encrypted.



Kindly confirm

1. Can Bitlocker Encryption be enabled without intervention of the user?
   
2. Where to find the bitlocker encryption key?
   
3. How to recover the Data in Encrypted D Drive?
   

 

Windows 8.1 PRO unable to unlock Bitlocked drive

As you can see Drive D is no longer present in BitLocker Drive Encryption.

When I click on this Drive under Explorer I got the option to FORMAT this Drive and when I click cancel I get the following.

When I do Right Click on this Drive, I no longer see BitLocker option like I used to.

 

Unable to format or remove encryption on unlocked bitlock drive.

I have a microSD card with bitlocker that I can unlock with my password and view the files on, but I'm unable to remove the encryption or format the drive. I've tried on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and I get similar errors.

I do NOT need to recover information, I just want to wipe the drive so I can use it for other devices.

Quick and "normal" formatting fails, regardless of if I change or keep the file system, with error "Windows was unable to complete the format." occurring each time.

Check Disk indicates no errors.

I receive error code 0x8007001f when I attempt to remove bitlocker through "manage-bde X: -off"

How the heck can I get rid of bitlocker?
