  1. Due to Windows Updates, my taskbar disappeared & performance degraded. how can I...

Earlier this year, my taskbar suddenly disappeared after an update. I have never changed the update settings before. So after an EXTENSIVE WASTE of my time, I googled for a fix and managed to uninstall the update and restore to a previous point. I turned off updates and disabled it in Services.msc but this did not last as, to my surprise, the updates AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUED this weekend. Very frustratingly I now AGAIN had to WASTE MORE TIME restoring to a previous point, uninstall the USELESS update and now probably might have to check weekly if the updates are disabled. Apologies for the capi

  2. Degraded graphics performance post update

Following the most recent bout of updates to Windows 10 (The one that changed the start menu, among other things) i've been noticing severely degraded performance from my graphics card.

Whereas i used to be able to achieve a decent FPS in virtual worlds (Circa 30-40), i'm now experiencing below 5FPS. Graphics drivers are up to date, so it can't be that.

The only change in the last 24 hours has been windows updates itself.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated

  3. Taskbar doesn't disappear when entering fullscreen

I tried the Ctrl-Alt-Del and found Windows Explorer. Unfortunately, I didn't choose Restart; I killed the process. (didn't read the instructions well enough!) :-/ ... I did eventually find a way to Restart Windows Explorer, but the problem (disappearing Task bar not disappearing/reappearing as it should/used to) did not solve itself. I then RESTARTED the PC. Still not fixed.

So, I found another answer from microsoft and followed those steps. It worked! (needed the display driver updated.)

    Here's that set of instructions:

I suggest you to try updating the Display Adapter drivers check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to update the Display driver:

Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
    Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
Right-click on the Display Adapter listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.
Select the option to automatically search for the updated driver software.
Restart the computer after its updated and verify.

Also try to access the computer manufacturer's website and download the latest chipset and display drivers for your computer and install the same.
