Where is the dialog box on Windows 10? I looked under start, system, then searched dialog box. I have googled online. I found a comment where Windows 10 hides the dialog box. I want to enter code to bring up system information.

    :)

  2. dumb question, but here goes.

    Hi Dave,

Since you have recently installed an update on your PC, there's also a possibility that the issue you have encountered is due to an outdated DVD/CD driver. When we deliver updates, the device manufacturers also release an updated driver to suit the new build
and version and to also ensure that the device is working properly. To help you solve the issue so you can continue enjoying your favorite movies, we suggest following the instructions in this support page article:
Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs where you
will also find other useful troubleshooting steps aside from updating the device driver.

In case the issue still persists, please answer the questions below and we will surely provide additional help.

    • What is the current build and version of your Windows 10 device? To check, type
winver in the search bar and press Enter.
    • Can you tell us if you encountered an error message or code when attempting to play DVD?
    • Please share a screenshot of the command screen.

We hope to hear from you soon.

  3. Dumb Question Dumb question from an intermediate. But... :)

TazzTammy2 ... nothing is a dumb question. If you knew the answer you would not ask.....

So, take your device and call yourself .... it should get you into your mailbox where it will ask for your password you setup and then will play your messages.

You may also have a pre-defined contact on your device for voicemail or a SPEED DIAL that is already set for getting Voicemail.

If you never setup your voicemail then call your cell provider and they will guide you through it. I hope that helps...

Depends what dialog box you want - a dialog box is only a window asking you to enter something. It could be the Window that you see when you want to Print a file or when you want to Open or Save something.

There is, for example, the Run dialog box (appears by pressing the *Start and R keys together)

If that is the one you mean then type msinfo32 into it and press OK.

If you are thinking of command prompt rather than dialog box then you can type msinfo32 into either Powershell or Command Prompt - just search for them by pressing the *Start key.

Or of course you could just search for System Information direct.

  6. The Run window is the dialog box I was looking for. In my win 10 the command prompt is not under the windows key either. it will most likely come up when I give the run the cmd code. Thank you for the answer.

Try the Windows key + R at the same time.

Click Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and look for replace command prompt with Power Shell, turn it off for the command prompt to appear.
