Windows 10: Duplicate App List

I'm on Windows 10 1909. When I go to Choose default apps by protocol and go down to TEL, it always list Skype for Business twice. Is there a way to delete the duplicate?

Duplicate drive listed in explorer.

I had read some good tutorials on how to remove unwanted items from the side explorer navigation pane and was interested if someone knows how to remove a duplicate of a drive showing up?

Here is what I am dealing with:





The duplicate listing of Drive F: which is a USB Flash drive is not necessary and I would like to remove one of them.

Any ideas?

I'll give it a go and find out.

It appears that the drives listed under "This PC" are not considered duplicate listings and the reg file does not have any effect on those listings.

So imperially or practically, I guess I don't really have a duplicate listing of the drive unless the branch of "This PC" is expanded.

 

How do I remove duplicate icons from the "all apps" list???

I have the same problem with duplicate icons in the Windows 10 "All Apps" list. I ran system file checker (sfc) and it did not remove the duplicates. sfc found two Microsoft Edge files that were corrupt but I would guess that is unrelated to the All Apps
list. Doing a reset does require me to reinstall some applications so I would prefer not to do that with work.

It's hard to believe that you can't just delete icon without uninstalling the applications to eliminate the duplicate icons.

Any other suggestions?

VLC app in apps list shows duplicate item marked pending

I have installed the VLC UWP app on my Lumia 950. The app works great. However, I have two VLC apps in the app list. The one I should have that starts the application and a duplicate item marked "pending". Pushing this duplicate item leads to the app in
the Store, and I am told that the app is already installed. It is not possible to delete this duplicate item. The option is disabled.

I believe this duplicate item is an error from the installation, but how do I get rid of it? I have tried to uninstall the app an reinstall it. I have tried a soft reset of the phone. Nothing helps.

If I uninstall the app, the duplicate item marked pending is still in the app list.
