Windows 10: Duplicate chrome windows/instances appearing whenever I switch window using alt+tab.

I have been facing this problem ever since I bought my new laptop i.e. 1 year ago, which came pre-installed with windows 11.Whenever chrome is open and I try to switch window by pressing alt+tab, it just creates several duplicate chrome windows. And it just makes switching windows really really annoying and just ruins the whole experience. Restarting my pc solves the problem for a while, but it just appears again. And guys restarting pc every f*****g hour is just not possible.Seriously, Microsoft needs to do something about it, it's been a whole year afterall.

Windows 11: Alt+Tab with multiple Chrome windows open

I have the following windows open in a Windows 11 desktop:

• 3 Google Chrome windows (one with two tabs)
  
• 1 Excel 2010 window (with 3 workbooks open)
  
• 1 Windows Explorer window
  
• 1 Adobe Acrobat window (1 document tab open)
  

The focus is on the Excel window.

I press Alt+Tab.

This brings 1 of the Chrome windows into focus

I press Alt+Tab.

This should bring the Excel window back into focus?

It does not!

This brings the 2nd Chrome window into focus.

To get the Excel window back into focus, I have to Alt+Tab 4 times, "past" the 3 Chrome windows and the Acrobat window.

****?

Please tell me this is a defect that is going to be fixed soon and not some new behavior?

 

Windows Logo Appearing When Changing Windows or ALT+Tab

Good evening,

I found a post from a year ago that the user has the same issue as myself.

Windows Logo on Window switch or "ALT+TAB"





This Logo can get quite annoying as it can stay on the screen for several seconds. It cannot be clicked on and I haven't been able to find anything in the settings about it. Even though it is slightly transparent, it still blocks the vision, making tabbing over an annoyance when trying to read things.

I have done a "Safe Mode" booting and it does not appear there. The previous post was suggested a "Clean Boot" and then no response on whether that solved or helped in the matter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ALT + TAB Not switching on release


Hi,

I've been having a bit of trouble with Windows the last few days, which has to to lead me to reinstall it over my current windows. Just mentioning it in case it might be relevant.

But my problem is that I'm used to having to press ALT+TAB and it would display the open programs, and when I release the combo, it would switch me to the program. But now I've noticed that when I press ALT+TAB, and release the combo, the little UI thingy still stays open and I either need to click the choice or press enter or something. And this is really annoying since I switch programs on a regular basis and this extra step feels unnecessary.
