Duplicate display of Drives in Windows 10

Hi All,

This looks to be a odd one - your help is appreciated.

When I open Windows Explorer in WIN10 - the displayed HDs are:

Drive_C_ (C

Drive_D_(D

Drive_E_(E

BACKUP (G - followed by

BACKUP (G

Drive_C_(C

Drive_D_(D

Drive_E_(E

Yes, the display of the drives is done twice.

I can click on any of the drives - all links are functioning. Any suggestions on how to get rid the duplicated display of the drives?

Duplicate drives ?

I went to create a new folder & somehow ended up creating a duplicate drive which I can't get rid of. How can I get rid of the second E: drive listing?

 

External drives are duplicated in File Explorer on Windows 11.

Pls try the steps (or the registry fix remove-duplicate-drives.reg to automate the task) to resolve the issue.
