    Duplicate locations, Windows 10


    I am in the habit of saving documents, photos, etc., which are temporary, on the "desktop". I am finding that when I save something to the desktop, then close or minimize everything until I am at the desktop that appears upon startup everything appears as Icons on this desktop, the document I just saved is not there. I will refer to this "desktop" as the "main desktop". If I go to the folder on the bottom tool bar and open the folder, I find that there is a "desktop" I'll call this the "secondary desktop" within "Quick Access". The recently saved document is in this folder in "secondar

    Windows Media Player location for duplicate removal

    Hi Ron,

    The Windows Media Player supports common media file types. To find its location in Windows 10, click
    here.

    To delete duplicate files in the Windows Media Player, follow these steps:

    • Gather the media files. Press the Alt key to show the hidden menu bar, then select
      File > Manage Libraries > Music.
    • You’ll see the default location on the screen. Add new folders containing all the media files. Once you’ve added them, click
      OK.
    • Click the Title column head. This will rearrange all the media items in ascending manner.
    • Right-click a duplicate media file, then choose Open file location. Delete the file from File Explorer.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
