Windows 10: Duplicate Music folder in OneDrive and C Drive

    Duplicate Music folder in OneDrive and C Drive


    My HD is running out of room. I wonder if the problem is that I have a Music folder with a large number of files on the C drive twice. Once under C:\Users\MyName, And another within my OneDrive folder also on C:\. I'm not sure, though. How can I figure this out, and then fix it, if so? One hint is that the size of my C Music folder is different from the same named folder in OneDrive.Thanks for the help.

    onedrive duplicating my folders...

    Hi.

    Again, onedrive is going crazy and is duplicating my main folder, full of subfolders. It's locking me out of all my files. I have windows 10, Office 365 home. I paused synch at the moment before I have 1000 copy of my folder, which I can't open anyway!
    Please don't ask me any question that will further delay the repair. Simply give me a step by step solution and then improve onedrive so this won't happen again to so many of us. I suggest you also add "onedrive" in the list of "Windows Topics" below since
    thousands of users have issues with it.

    Duplicate User folder.

    I moved my default Pictures, Documents, Music folders to a new Data partition (D).

    My Users/myName folder remained on the C partition.

    Everything was fine for 2 years.

    For some reason this myName folder is now duplicated on the D partition (D\myName)

    I have now a default documents folder in

    • D\Documents
    • D\myName\Documents
    • Onedrive\Documents
    • C\Users\myName\Documents
    The same with the other system folders.

    I can not change the location of the folders in the 2 duplicate user folders.

    Rightclicking in properties, there is no location option.

    Only the folders in OneDrive and the D partition have this option.

    Any ideas?

    Sync folders with OneDrive on multiple drives

    Hi folks,

    I have multiple HDDs and have my default user folders (Music, Videos, Movies, Pictures) spread across them based on how I am managing things. I would like to have OneDrive point to different folders on different drives to sync but I can't figure out how
    to make this happen.

    Scenario:

    • The root OneDrive folder is currently on E:.
    • Music is currently on drive C:
    • Videos is currently on E:
    • Want both to sync with OneDrive
