Windows 10: Duplicated icons in Start Menu

I have a little application that scans for hijacks, malware, etc, is a verified .exe file. I want to pin it to start, it does, but with duplicates. I try removing one, but it remove the other also.

How do I remove duplicate icons from the "all apps" list???

I have 3 duplicate icons in the All Apps start menu. Firefox, Chrome, and another program. The target shortcuts for these icons are not duplicated in programs folder of the start menu. Seems strange that two of the three are for competing browsers. .

I tried deleting the problematic icons from C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs then after a restart i pinned again and icon and for the moment there are no more duplicates.

Tried that, but without success.

There is only one instance in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" but in start menu there was 3.

Stranger when deleted the shortcut from the folder, restarted, then tried pinning to start again it created 4 duplicates?!?1?
In short still have same problem.

Its more of an annoyance more than anything else but still irritating and hope someone can come up with an answer.

I agree and that's why i left the thread open until there some conclusive solution or fix.
