    Duplicating Windows 11 desktop on a VGA monitor fails - but Extending it works???


    I've been asked to duplicate a Windows 11 laptop display on a VGA monitor. Why would that work with one monitor, but not another? My laptop has an HDMI output, so I'm using an HDMI to VGA adaptor to connect it to an HP L2445w VGA monitor. That works with no problems. I also have a 'Flatron Wide' VGA monitor sold by LG. It only works when I extend the desktop. It fails when I tell settings to duplicate the desktop to the LG monitor. I've tried every available refresh rate, but when I try to duplicate the windows desktop, the LG monitor says: ANALOGOUT OF RANGE67.5kHz / 60hZI though
