Windows 10: During Midi Playback suddenly there is a rapidly repeating single note and the system freezes.

When playing midi files in a Digital Audio Workstation Ableton live 11 or 12 or Reaper the audio stream will change to a rapidly repeated single note like a buzz I recorded the sound on my phone and can upload if given a link and will freeze the system. This will occur 15 seconds to 15 minutes into the playback. Rarely the application will just end, rarely I will get the blue screen of death with the clock watchdog timeout error but the crash data won't be collected and usually the sound will continue ad infinitum until I hold down the power key to shut down the computer. I've recently purchased a nokia 710, very pleased too, but as a musician I would like to also playback midi files at practices so other musos can hear my ideas - as Zune does not have a midi codec, do you have any suggestions to other midi player apps
available, or a second party codec to Zune? I see the apple series and android series phones have midi apps available

If possible, please do the following tests to further confirm whether it's the problem of the system itself or the problem of the MIDI device.

• Connect your current MIDI device to another Surface device/Windows computer to see if it works.
  
• Connect another MIDI device to the current computer to see if it works.

I suggest you to run the Video Playback
Troubleshooter. Follow these steps to run
Video Playback troubleshooter:

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar and select it.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Video Playback
  troubleshooter.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update your graphic card drivers.

I suggest you to update graphic drivers and check if it helps. Follow the steps given below.
