Windows 10: DVD/CD burner/player only works half the time

Discus and support DVD/CD burner/player only works half the time in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I hate that computers no longer come with DVD/CD Players/burners.     DVD/CD burner/player only works half the time


    I hate that computers no longer come with DVD/CD Players/burners. I bought an external DVD /CD reader/burner and it works on some and doesn't work on others. I downloaded the VLC for windows and it still doesn't work. It won't even play movies. And ripping and burning is iffy. Mostly no.

    CD/DVD Player/Burner Not working after Win10 Installation

    How can I fix the cd/dvd player burner in my HP laptop ? Since installation of Windows 10 (was using Win7), the player will not work. any suggestions ? My understanding is that this is a very common problem with Win10 because there is no player for the cd
    dvd now. I tried a suggestion to install a media player "VLC" but it still won't work, I just keep getting an Error message window when I hit play. The error message is "Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'cdda:///G:/' ".

    Any suggestions ???

    The question is simple. Is there a DVD burner that works on Windows 10. Windows 10 has a media player that will burn cd such as cd-rw but not DVD's. We have slideshows created with movie maker but no way to burn them to DVD.we are talking DVD not CDs. We
    had it on Windows 7 but when we upgraded to Windows 10 we do not have a DVD player or burner. Downloaded DVD player app for 15 bucks. Uninstalled it would not work. Thank you for any suggestions. Remember the guest ion is about DVD not cd
