    DVD/CD - ROM Drives - Matshitba BD-MLT-UJ240AFW Installed in a ASUS Laptop


    I have been able to play, burn and rip CD's always with the above inbuilt DVD/CDHowever since the last upgrade of Windows 10 - Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2 and further updates, my player is no longer recognized by Windows 10, so I can play any CD at all. Even though is shows in the Device Manager it it not shown in the File ExplorerI have uninstalled the drive and restarted. This has not worked. I am running out of ideas of what to do.Tried to search online but I am not confident of the fixes I have seen.Please help

    DVD's not playing on matshita bd-mlt uj240afw

    Hi,

    I have an ASUS N53SV with a matshita bd-mlt uj240afw disc drive. I cannot seem to play DVD's at the moment, but can play music CD's.

    I appear to have the latest drivers but cannot locate the issue.

    I am running Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).

    Can anyone help?

    DVD/CD Drive Saying CD-Rom

    My Dvd drive is listed in my device manager however it is set as cd rom in the description, it also wont open and is not set as my default drive, any suggestions?

    windows 10 if that changes anything

    Cd Rom / Dvd Writer

    Hi,

    I have both Samsung CD ROM & LG DVD Writer(Both are internal). Since some days CD ROM is getting opened and trying to get closed all by its own.

    I removed the power cord of CD ROM & again connected. This time it is not showing both the drives. It is showing only 1 drive and if i right click on that drive and select eject, both the drives are getting opened.

    Is it anything related to virus? Do i need to install OS once again.

    Pls Suggest
