Windows 10: DVD/CD will play CD's and can copy tracks to Windows media, but will not burn to new disk...

DVD/CD will play CD's and can copy tracks to Windows media, but will not burn to new disk or change to other format, Get message "Connect a burner and restart player" under Burn tab. How to resolve this problem? I have a Dell computer with Windows 10

Burning CD with Windows Media Player

Firstly, Windows Media Player requires that content intended to be burned to discs be first stored on the computer's hard disk. Therefore, I would suggest you to copy all the songs to a folder first and then proceed to the next step.

Windows Media Player not burning to CD/DVD

Hello all

I received a new Acer PC running Windows 10, 64 bit last Christmas. I am able to run Windows Media Player with no audio problems through my headset while playing music.

My issue is when it comes to burning music onto a CD/DVD disk. I am part of a volunteer gig this coming weekend and have purchased a number of backing tracks online for it. Unfortunately, I am not able to burn these 5 tracks to either a CD/DVD disk. Earlier
this afternoon, I purchased at Staples some new DVD-RW CD's but was told from the staff member there that he thinks it is likely something is faulty with Media Player, and suggested I try to update the drivers, just in case. I am both not sure where to look
for these drivers online, nor know what else to do in regards to this situation.

Any advice and suggestions would be welcome.
