Windows 10: DVD exorcist needed

I wish I could find a way to install Win7 on my new computer ...alasMy computer of 10 1/2 years died a few weeks ago, it was running Win7.My "go-to" default program for playing DVDs was windows media player on my old computer.I tried to make it the default player...A week ago after downloading VLC player, which I use for some but not all applications I actually alter .jpgs with it, I discovered it'd taken a strangle hold on my computer.After becoming so frustrated, I took the drastic step of uninstalling it to force the issue, It still had its tentacles entwined on some programs after I did

It may be that your DVD drive has a hardware failure (as was suggested in that thread).

Step 1: I suggest you to run Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

Steps:

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onWindows Media Player DVD and follow the onscreen instructions.

Burned DVD's Work in SOME players

In that case, it is possible the problem is with the blu ray player not supporting DVD+R disks.

Suggest you check to make sure: it's possible you can overcome this problem by simply burning DVD-R instead of DVD+R. Check your blu ray compatibility list first.
