Windows 10: DVD not "remembering" pause position.

Hi. New to Win10, but reasonably computer-savvy.... I upgraded wife's PC from Win 7 Home to Win !0, with the promise that she would not lose any of her photos and docs, and that all would be Good. It more-or-less is so; but there is a gremlin. She likes to watch DVDs on her PC, and she puts them on "Pause" when she stops watching them part way through, and picks up at the same place when she comes back to do the ironing ^W^W^W watch them a day or so later. Or that is what she DID do, with Win 7. After the chjange to Win 10, she finds that she puts them on "Pause".... and when she comes back a day or two later, they start at the beginning, and not where she left off. What might I (or, heaven forbid, she) be doing wrong in some Setup or other?? Thanks.

Nice if Start screen "remembered" its position

This is not really a problem to be solved now, but a suggestion to Microsoft for a future update or version of Windows.

It would be nice if the Start screen remembered its position. For example, if I open the Start screen and scroll down to those applications that start with the letter "W", the next time I open the Start screen, it reverts back to displaying the top of the
list. It would be nice if it "remembered" I was on "W" and opened at that position.

Two things though:

- at least Edge doesn't spill onto the next monitor when hopping around through repeated opening and closings like Explorer used to!

- also, if the window edge/screen edge margin is very small, Edge will only remember approx. 6 positions:



...

... if the margin is large, Edge will remember about 20 positions!
