    DVD players 2 laptops no longer play media after WIN upgrades


    Two laptops. Both Lenovo 64 bit.One TP 50 I think came loaded with W10, updated to W 11, now fails to play any media discs at all using an outboard player. No executable files found. Drivers report as up to date.Other is an older SL 510 came with W 7, I allowed it to upgrade to W 10, and now the built in DVD no longer handles any disc media. No executable files found. Drivers report as up to date. Same behavior with the outboard unit.I discovered this when trying to check a questionable DVD, and soon discovered this global absence of functionality.

    cannot play dvds in media player win 10.

    I download the dvd media player drive when I had Win 7 on my laptop. My laptop crashed and had to reinstall win 7 and then up graded to win 10. The download for media player is not there. I cannot play dvds in win 10 Media Player like I could back in Win 7 after I download the dvd player driver.

    DVD player no longer plays media after Windows 10 upgrade

    Tried to play a DVD on one of my laptops and found the DVD player won't play. The player is listed in device manager, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, still does not play. None of the DVD players function on any of my computers upgraded
    to Windows 10. Does anyone have a solution?

    Do let us know the following to assist you better:

    • What exactly happens when you try to play DVDs on Windows Media Player?
    • Are the DVDs being detected on your computer?

    I suggest you to run Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

    Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter find and fix problems with playing DVDs in Windows Media Player.

    Steps:

    • Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
      and select it.
    • Click on View all in the left pane.
    • Click onWindows Media Player DVD and follow the onscreen instructions.
