Windows 10: dvdrw no working

I have 2 DVD-RW drives in my tower, ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 they have not worked, I looked Device Manager and both are shown and it also says that the drivers are functioning properly,no problems found there. When there are no discs in them they show up in my PC, after I insert a disc in one and open my PC, that drive and letter are not showing and also the flashing light on the drive never seems to stop flashing. I have had this problem ever since I upgraded to windows 10. I have searched the internet but have only found 1 option, that is to reinstall Windows 10. To me that is not an option, because if I have to do that then I will just reinstall Windows 7 and forget about windows 10. I have had nothing but problems with windows 10. I am really considering going back to windows 7. Can someone please help as I am at the end of my rope and I am also frustrated with windows 10.

Driver for TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633C

Hi all,

I have the same issue when I updated to windows 10, my DVDRW is not working and listed under "other devices". I have ASUS R503U laptop, and I installed the AMD SATA CONTROLLER then my DVDRW shows up under "DVD/CD-ROM drives" as TSSTCORP CDDVDW SN-208DN SATA
CdRom Device, but it still doesn't respond or work.

My DVDRW could be using a generic CDROM driver so it doesn't work. I already tried UNsuccessfully to update from the TSSTCorp website using SN-208DN SC00 file.

Do you have any recommended fix for this? Thanks

 

Optiarc Dvdrw Ad-7580S not recognized as dvdrw after install of windows 10 on my acer aspire 7741

I installed windows 10, now my dvdrw drive went from that to just a cd rom drive,, I am running an Acer Aspire 7741Z and the dvdrw drive is Optiarc Dvdrw Ad-7580S , thank you for any help you can give.

Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
To create the registry subkey, follow these steps:
Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run box. (or right-click on windows icon in lower left corner)
Type regedit in the Run box, then press Enter. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
In the navigation pane, locate the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi
Right-click atapi, point to New, then click Key.
Type Controller0, and then press Enter.
Right-click Controller0, point to New, and then click DWORD(32-bit) Value .
Type EnumDevice1, and then press Enter.

I made the changes to the registry as per georgeks and I still have both dvd drives listed in device manager, but still neither one works, they both worked in Windows 7 pro, and neither one works in Windows 10. The Device Manager says that both are functioning correctly. I double checked the the registry key that I add and everything appears correct.
