Windows 10: DVI dual monitor connected no signal fix?

Hey, I have been trying for a couple days now to get this dual monitor setup working, I made sure both monitors work, which they do however when one is booted the other shows no signal, one is connected to vga and one is connected to dvi. When I connect the monitors through vga they power on however when I try to power them on through the dvi cable they get to the windows loading screen then shut off and it says no signal, I can power it on through safe mode and it works through dvi however I can’t do that when I have dual monitors, also I tried changing the resolution and that still didn’t wo

Dual Monitor Issues

Hello all,

i need help setting up a Dual Monitor on my PC.

I have recently purchased a Gigabyte RTX2060 Super Gaming OC. It comes with 3 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI output.

I also have purchased a new monitor to have as my main. ( AOC G2590FX).

I have been having issues trying to connect my old monitor (LG 22EN43T-B).

My old monitor has only 2 available options to connect. A DVI-D and a VGA.

I tried going the DisplayPort to DVI-D route with buying two cables but that didn't seem to work because it displayed "No Signal"

So the last thing i could think of making this work is buying a DVI-D to HDMI adapter.

I have connected the adaptor straight on my LG Monitor and then attached a working HDMI cable from the GPU to the LG Monitor.

When i connect the LG monitor, i can hear the connection sound on my speakers, my AOC monitor goes to no signal and my LG monitor isn't displaying anything ( Black screen).

Any ideas or recommendations are welcome and i would realy appretiate your help.

 

Dual Monitors in Windows 10

I'll start with noting that I have an old PC (2006). It serves it's purpose and I had been running Windows 7 on it. After the upgrade to Windows 10, the dual monitor settings don't work. I used to have the monitors extended and now they are mirrored.
That seems easy enough to fix - just change it in display settings. But in display settings, there is only one monitor. When I click on "Detect" I get a message "Didn't detect another display".

Clearly the second monitor is getting a signal but it's not recognized. If it helps, they are both Dell 19" monitors, one is connected via VGA and the other DVI.

Does anyone have a suggestion or am I going to have to go back to Windows 7 before my 30 days are up?

Dual monitor issue

"one" HDMI or DVI etc output from a PC or laptop can only provide "one" video signal. The splitter just sends that "one" video signal to two monitors. They have no choice but to be duplicates of each other. As far as the source of the signal goes, it only see "one" device / monitor.
I run triple displays on my desktop PC, DVI, DVI, HDMI. I also run dual displays on my laptop, the built in and a USB Display Link monitor. I could run triple I guess if I connected a monitor to its HDMI out. I went Display Link because it simplifies things for me. Power and signal through the one USB 3 cable. Plus its a very thin monitor that I can fit in my laptop bag with my laptop. Very light also.
