Windows 10: DX7 MIDI Setup for Windows 10

Hello. This is Keegan Ginest. I have recently purchased a 1983 Yamaha DX7; however, every time I connect the MIDI In and MIDI Out to the computer (one that runs on Windows 10), the DX7 is read as "Other Device" in the Devices and Printers in the Control Panel. Is there a possible way to recommend a good driver that is compatible with both the DX7 and Windows 10?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

You can attempt to use a generic driver to make your MIDI work with Windows 10. Kindly follow the steps outlined on this
link. I suggest that you perform the steps:
Run a troubleshooter and Update the device driver. Kindly check if you are encountering any error codes in the Device Manager as well.
