Windows 10: Dxdiag showing version 11 instead of 6 maybe

Hi! I recently installed windows 7 on my old pc. It has 2gb ram and Intel Core 2 Duo. I went to dxdiag to check the DirectX version, but it shows it as DirectX 11. I'm pretty sure DirectX 11 needs 8 gb ram. I used a 3rd party software IObit Driver Booster to see the DX version and it shows it as 6. I am thoroughly confused. What to do and how to fix it? Edit: And also, if this PC supports DX 9, then why does windows 7 install DX 6 maybe? And I tried to play a game that relies on DX, called Dangranronpa Trigger Happy Havoc, and it shows a dll error regarding DX. I ran it using OpenGL and it

why after upgrading to windows 10 from windows 8.1 in dxdiag it's still showing directx version 11.2 instead of directx 12?

Hmm, well there goes my theory :shadedshu Most I could suggest would be to try out that guide I mentioned once it gets posted..

What is the DDI Version? Please don't say 11 otherwise I'm going to cry...

Hi,

To enable the Direct 3D feature on your device, we suggest following the steps below:

• Run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (Dxdiag.exe).
• On the Display tab, verify that DirectDraw Acceleration and
  Direct3D Acceleration are selected under DirectX Features.
• If either of these lines shows a Disabled status, click
  Enable for that line.
• If multiple video adapters are installed in your computer, repeat steps 2 for each
  Display tab in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
