Windows 10: dxdiag unable to show disc drive volumes/partitions

I've been troubleshooting through issues I've been having playing a video game, league of legends. This has brought me to attempt to run dxdiag, particularly to look at my disc drives which I believe may be the issue. However, when I run dxdiag, it will get stuck at a particular point of the scan and ask me whether or not I'd like to skip that aspect of the scan and proceed with the remainder of it. When I elect to not skip, and attempt to complete the scan in its entirety, dxdiag never finished. When I elect to skip that aspect of the scan, dxdiag finishes, but I am unable to see my disc dr

Help! Data partition not showing under my computer

This is happening on a windows 2000 server. Our second partition of the system, for data is not showing under my computer. Here are the properties of it in disk management:





Now under logical drives its listed as F and shows free space available.

Suggestions on how to fix this?

 

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

 

Unable to make partitions of C drive

Hi,

The inability to create a partition on your drive is either a hardware concern or there are system file corruptions that is why it's informing you to run a check disk. We can start by running the check disk. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Right-click your C drive and select Properties.
• A new window will show, then click the Tools tab.
• Under the Error checking, select the Check
  button.
• Select the Scan drive when a new window opens.
• Wait until it finishes.

You can check
J W Stuart post on this thread that has a similar issue as yours. It's
an older version of Windows but can be applied.
