Windows 10: dxgkrnl.sys and wdfilter.sys

The boot log reveals one instance of DXGKRNL.sys loading and four NOT loading. DXdiag shows no errors.

It also has one WDFILTER.sys NOT loaded entry.

I also noticed that my boot times are way slower since I reinstalled windows 10.

Things that I tried but didnt help:

Cleaning registry, reinstalling windows, updating to newer drivers, checking RAM for errors, reset bios to default, and also tried chkdsk /f /r, tried older drivers...

gtx 1070
32gb ram
1tb 850 pro ssd
3tb hdd

I looked at the bootlog and noticed that wdfilter.sys and dxgkrnl.sys are not loading properly

 

1) It appears as a new post with two drivers. Was there a previous link?
2) Are you asking to troubleshoot slow boot times?
3) In the left lower corner search type winver and post into the thread the windows version and build.
4) What was the method that you used to reinstall windows? reset save files; reset remove files; restore, clean install with delete partitions, format drive, make an unallocated drive, install windows 10 1703; use diskpart clean, install windows ?
5) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste these commands:
a) sfc /scannow
b) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
c) chkdsk /scan
d) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on copy > paste into the thread
e) msconfig (in the pop up system configuration > move the dot from normal startup to selective startup > uncheck load startup items > click service tab > in left lower corner check hide all Microsoft services > in the lower right side click disable all > click apply or ok > do not reboot)
g) taskmgr (in the pop up task manager > click on the start up tab > click on status so that the column sorts with enable rising to the top > right click on each row with enable and change to disable)
h) shutdown /r (you will reboot the computer so that it is in clean boot)

6) Evaluate the performance on your computer in clean boot during typical use.
a) Are the boots faster or slower?
b) Are the shutdowns faster or slower?
c) How has the audio and video performance changed? Is it better, worse, or the same?
7) Continue using clean boot indefinitely to monitor performance.
8) Run one of these SMART tests on your drives and post images into the thread: (please indicate the drive location for windows)

scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
run a benchmark.


It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.

How did you clean the registry?

Was the chdsk /f /r done before or after the re-installation of windows?
If it was done after the re-installation please post the results:
