    Dynamic QoS killing first modem/router

So my room mates has his own router/modem and im plugged into port 2 or 1 with my nighthawk which as all my devices plugged into it. he keeps blaming how my router is messing up his. how can that be? the only thing i turned on this week was Dynamic QoS for my router in my room. Would QoS cause a problem to the main router and modem?

    :)

phone cannot see setup page of modem/router so no internet access

    Hi

I changed my modem/router from Huawei to Linksys WAG320N recently. My lumia 920 says it's connected to my wifi but will not display any web pages. A search on the internet asked to check if the phone can see the new modem/router but typing in 192.168.1.1 for
the setup page of the modem/router. When I type in the IP address mentioned above, the phone always shows the setup page of my old modem/router and that's where I think the problem is. I've tried restarting my phone as well as done a soft reset. Not tried
a hard reset yet. Just wanted to exhaust all my options first. I need to refresh the page stored on my phone for when I type in 192.168.1.1. Any suggestions?

    Regards

    Shajju

  3. Wifi Router (w/ modem) wont allow any apps to work(like cloud print, superbeam, wifi go)

    Hi Anurag,

    Thank you for the update.

You may want to reset the modem and check.

In some instances, the IP settings or network configuration that you receive from your Internet service provider (ISP) might be incorrect or need updating. Sometimes, the connection between the modem and the ISP might experience problems. To update the settings
on the modem or the router, reset (restart) the modem. This creates a fresh connection to the ISP. Use one of the following methods to reset the modem, following the steps for your modem type.

    To reset an external modem

    • Disconnect the cable that connects your computer or router to the modem. This can be either a USB cable or an Ethernet cable.

    • Turn off the modem using the power switch on the front or back of the modem. If the modem doesn't have a power switch, disconnect the power cord from the back of the modem, or unplug it from the wall.

Note: Some modems have a backup battery that prevents the lights from going out. For this type of modem, press and quickly release the Reset button. If you don’t see a Reset button, remove the battery instead.

    • Wait several minutes, and then turn on the modem and reconnect the cable from the computer or the router to the modem.

    • Restart the computer.

    • Test your connection to see whether you can access the apps.

    Hope this helps.
