Windows 10: E, D, C, 4, 5 and F5 keys aren't working in my laptop.

I'm pretty sure this is related to some update I did recently because it happened to me years ago and I was able to fix the issue not sure how though. When I start my laptop, they work just fine but after a few minutes, they stop working and I have to use the alt+number to write those letters and as you can imagine is pretty annoying. I've seen suggested to uninstall the keyboard driver and re-install it but my fear is that it won't find it and I will be left with a laptop without a keyboard.

Understanding that the shift + d, e, c keys on your keyboard are not working, I presume that you use the d, e, c keys alone is normal, but the combination of the use of anomalies, which may be due to driver problems or third-party software interference caused by the failure, but also may be a hardware failure, or the main need to be further judged by the following tests, the results of the test will determine the direction of us



1. We first check whether it is a hardware failure. At the bottom of the computer search box, type "on-screen keyboard", in the pop-up keyboard with the mouse, long press the shift key, and then click on the d, e, c keys, if you can successfully achieve the function of the keyboard malfunction is due to a hardware failure of the keyboard caused by your device, you can contact technical support to try to solve the problem. If you can't achieve the function, it means the problem is at the system level, you can follow the steps below in order to do it.



2. At the system level, let's first consider the driver. Right-click on the Start icon at the bottom, select "Device Manager" - > Select "Keyboard" from the list, find the driver of the keyboard you are using in the drop-down list - > Right-click on "Uninstall Device". Uninstall Device". Then restart your computer, open Device Manager again, click "Check Hardware Changes", reinstall the driver and see if the problem is solved. If you are using another external keyboard, you can go to the official website of the external keyboard to download the recent driver and reinstall it.



3. Often third-party software or processes can also cause the keyboard to malfunction. HP Pavillion G6 Laptop - Keys e, d, and c are not working after windows 10 installation

Can anybody please help?

I have installed the windows 10 upgrade on to my Wife's laptop and three keys no longer work, E D C.

It doesn't matter if I try to use upper or lower case, so have had to resort to the Virtual keyboard so that we can use the Laptop.

Is there a windows 10 patch to correct this as it was working correctly before the installation?

Hi,

My Dell laptop developed HDD issues a while back after I had upgraded it from Win 8.1 to win10. I had to buy a new Hdd n reinstall the Win10 but my software person didn't reinstall my laptop's win10 from MS server but got me a Win10 pro from a network that
i'm not a part of. I was unaware of all these things until the OS started asking to be activated. But my laptop had a genuine windows os before I had to change the hdd. I learnt I could still reinstall my original windows10 by downloading from the Ms server.
I have downloaded the ISO from Microsoft website unto my system but I don't know what to do next. I'm wondering if ican just run that directly and if it would recognize my hardware as one which is re`g`i```````````tered on the server and reinstall my original
win 10 and still retain my files/documents or if I should backup my files, create a bootable usb from the iso image and then do a clean install.
