Windows 10: E mail okay to receive just cannot send, sits in Outbox

Setting up a new computer that has Windows 11 installed and am now unable to send email but there is no problem receiving email. Sending email from the server account which is Spectrum and also from my iphone with no problem, so it is only with my desktop

E-mails showing as in Outbox but folder is empty (Outlook 2010)

At work, I am trying to send some e-mails in Outlook 2010 but they're getting stuck in the Outbox folder (and the recipients are not receiving them).

Outlook shows:

Outbox [4]

When I open the Outbox folder, no e-mails are inside.

The Outbox folder shows, "There are no items to show in this view."

Any ideas?

 

Mail for Windows 10 only receives, never sends

I have a surface 3 tablet which comes with an e-mail application built-in. Composing messages generates a "sent from Mail for Windows 10" signature type of line in the e-mail. That's fine.

But outgoing mail just sits there in the outbox and never gets sent. This is for a gmail account which otherwise works fine. This client on this tablet receives e-mail fine -- it just can't send.

I suppose I could manually enter IMAP connection parameters, but that seems silly.

I'm fine with using the built-in client, which, presumably, is an outlook variant.

 

Outbox not sending mail

I did find the outbox. It went to the top of the list. However, I still can't send mail. Any suggestions?
