EA Games - Squadrons - Incompatible with kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection

Hi.I attempted to ask this question in the past, but for some reason the thread I started has been locked for reasons unknown.Thread was: Allow exception for Windows 11 kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/allow-exception-for-windows-11-kernel-mode/dbb81191-b9bf-4fef-97bf-224dfdc51198So I am re-posting this as I am getting the run around from all companies involved. In short I am using a game from EA Games, purchased via Steam, called Squadrons, which uses an extension/driver called Easy An

Allow exception for Windows 11 kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection

    Hi.

I am running Windows 11 Pro, and have all the Core Isolation options active.

I run several games that use a program/driver called EasyAntiCheat.

I do not have any issues with most games using EasyAntiCheat, except for one game from Electronic Arts (EA).

Simply the game will not run due to an incompatibility with the Windows security feature kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection.

If I turn off kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection, then the game will work.

So that’s kind of all fine, however when I tried to turn the Windows security option back on, I get an error stating incompatible driver for the EA EasyAntiCheat, and will not allow the feature to be activated.

To be able to turn this security option back on, I have to completely uninstall the affected EA game.

I attempted to contact EA support for this, but unfortunately just get pointed to link that basically says there is no support for EasyAntiCheat and to refer to solution guides online, which only advises to turn off the Windows 11 security feature.

It’s been over a year this software has had this issue, and was hoping an update of some sorts would have been released like most other games, but unfortunately not so.

My question is then, it is possible to do something like the following:

    1) Method to be able to turn kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection off and back on again without having to completely remove the incompatible software.

    2) Set an exception to allow EA EasyAntiCheat to bypass the kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection.

So essentially seeking a way to keep using kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection, and to use EasyAntiCheat from EA without all the extra effort of having to complete remove and re-install if I want to use it.

Appreciate any suggestions anyone may be able to provide.

  3. Cannot enable Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection

I tried this and turned off memory integrity and now I cannot get it back on. After I turned if off and restarted I tried to turn it on and click on review incompatible drivers but there were none listed. Now I can't turn on memory integrity or kernel mode hardware enforced stack protection.

    Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection missing

    Hello,

I have a problem in my windows 11. Recently, I disabled the Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection in the menu in Core Isolation to play Fortnite which has this anti-cheat machine which conflicts with Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection. When I finished playing the game, went back to reenable the Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection and the option is not there any more. I see a memory access protection which also has not enable-disable button.

Lastly, It said that TPM was not available, I should check my BIOS. After 2-3 restarts the error was gone.

TPM is enabled by default from my BIOS and cannot be turned off. I have no idea what happened.

Any ideas? How to get it working and how to reappear in the windows settings? s

Also, when using msinfo32.exe it says that Kernel DMA protection is on. Is it the same?
