    Bluetooth connection problem between new JBL Live Pro 2 earbuds and Surface Laptop 3 running latest Windows 11 (not recognized as audio device)

    Hi,

    I just purchased the newest JBL Live PRO2 TWS earbuds that support BT version 5.2 but struggle to connect these to my new Surface Laptop 3. I have upgraded the Intel(R) Wireless BlueTooth(R) driver to the latest 22.150.0.6 and spent hours trying all kinds of solutions in other forums such as reinstalling drivers, running troubleshooter etc. but no luck.

    The funny thing is that the earbuds are immediately detected but not recognized as audio device. I see them listed under other BT devices as JBL LIVE PRO 2 TWS-LE and when I look in device manager it says the driver is 10.0.22000.856 dated 21/6/2006 which seems extremely old or wrong but I am unable to update it (says this is the latest version). In addition I see multiple "Bluetooth LE Generic Attribute Service" show up once I add the earbuds, not sure what these mean.

    Contacted JBL, they did not have newer drivers. Contacted Microsoft Support, also were unable to help.

    Unless someone is able to help I will give up and return them. I found many similar issues/questions, but nowhere any answer that I can try.

    Hi. I recently bought a refurbished Acer Aspire 3 off of Best Buy and I realized that the audio doesn't play through my earbuds, only through the laptop speakers. I don't know if the earbuds are even being detected. I am not sure what to do.

    Bluetooth connection problem between new JBL Live Pro 2 earbuds and Surface Laptop 3 running latest Windows 11 (not recognized as audio device)

    I have the JBL live pro 2 TWS earbuds and did the following to connect them:

    - Turn off existing connections between the eabuds and other devices. If the earbuds still connects to your mobile for example the following will not work.

    - Open the lid of the case and take the right earbud, after 5 seconds it will say "pairing" and the leds on the case will loop.

    - Then search for new devices in the bluetooth settings menu.

    - Wait till the earbuds are found as audio device, the one with a headset icon in front.

    The standard pairing procedure will not work because windows will not recognize them as audio device.
